SKY HD Launched
What is High Definition?
High definition offers amazing picture quality - greater depth of
tone, colour and texture. High Definition Television programs are
broadcast at a higher resolution than current TV standards - in
simple terms this means that there is more detail in the image because
the screen is made up of more lines. That might not sound too impressive,
but when you actually see High Definition in action, it makes a
big big difference. Think of the difference between VHS and DVD
and you're on the right track.
